2 November: International symposium by the UISPP Commission IV

On Friday 2 November the UISPP Commission IV organizes an international symposium entitled “New developments in the Application of Computers and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology”. Included are the following speakers: François Djindjian (Paris, France), Apostolos Sarris (Crete, Greece), Ladislav Šmejda (Pilsen, Czech republic), Jeroen De Reu (Gent, Belgium) and Hanna Stöger (Leiden).

DAG workshops Universiteit Leiden

The DAG is an interest group, open to all students and staff of archaeology. In the past year they organized a number of meetings where papers were presented and discussed. the coming academic year they will organize practical workshops. We will update our ´workshops´ page with more information.

CAA international meeting 2013 Perth

In 2011 CAA was held in Asia for the first time, acting to engage Asian scholars, bring fresh perspectives and build new relationships. Continuing this globalisation, the CAA conference for 2013 will be held in Perth, Australia (the first time that CAA will be conducted in the Southern hemisphere), allowing colleagues from Oceania, the Indian Ocean and South East Asia to attend it.
